2023 Summer Learning registration information

Registration for Surrey Schools’ Summer Learning full credit academic courses is now open for Grade 12 students, with full credit and academic completion (previously remedial) registration for other grades opening soon.

The registration dates are as follows:

  • April 3 – Full credit registration opens for current Grade 12 students only
  • April 10 – Full credit registration for current Grade 9-12 students
  • May 8 – Academic completion registration for current Grade 8-11 students
  • June 25 – Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. for both full credit and academic completion courses

With one of the largest summer learning programs in the Lower Mainland, the district’s Summer Learning program offers dozens of courses every year for secondary students. This year’s offerings include the following subjects at various grades:

  • English: English, Literary Studies, New Media, Creative Writing, English First Peoples, English Studies
  • Languages: French, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish
  • Math: Math, Foundations of Math, Workplace Math, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Foundations of Pre-Calculus
  • Physical Education: Physical Education, Active Living, Fitness & Conditioning
  • Sciences: Science, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Anatomy & Physiology
  • Socials: Social Studies, B.C. First Peoples, Exploration of Social Studies, 20th Century World History, Physical Geography, Law Studies, Social Justice
  • Trades: Automotive, Culinary

When registering, students will also have the opportunity to choose the location of their course at one of the following Summer Learning sites:

  • Clayton Heights Secondary (full credit and academic completion)
  • Earl Marriott Secondary (full credit only)
  • Enver Creek Secondary (full credit and academic completion)
  • Kwantlen Park Secondary (full credit and academic completion)
  • North Surrey Secondary (full credit only)
  • Panorama Ridge Secondary (full credit only)
  • Princess Margaret Secondary (full credit only)

Kindergarten to Grade 7 students may attend summer learning by staff referral for courses on literacy and numeracy, Early French Immersion and Late French Immersion. More information is available from your child's classroom teacher or school principal.
