Kindergarten registration now open
Kindergarten registration begins Monday, Jan. 16 for Surrey and White Rock elementary schools.
Children who turn five before Jan. 1, 2024 are eligible to start school in September 2023. Registration takes place online HERE.

*Please note that parents or guardians applying for a lottery spot in one of our specialty programs (French Immersion, Intensive Fine Arts, Montessori, Traditional and EKOLogy) must still register their child in their local catchment school before Feb. 8. Online applications for the kindergarten lottery for select programs of choice open Jan. 23.
Journeys into Kindergarten
The district, along with community partners, is hosting a series of virtual information sessions and in-person play sessions for parents/caregivers and their children five and under, intended to support children and families as they transition into kindergarten.
The sessions will feature discussions and play-based learning activities, as well as resources and activities to do at home.
The session dates, locations and discussion topics are as follows:
