Surrey Retired Teachers' Association celebrates 30th anniversary with 'Snapshots'
The Surrey Retired Teachers’ Association (SRTA) is celebrating its 30th anniversary and is sharing a collection of memories of the Surrey School District to mark the occasion.
The SRTA’s Heritage Committee has compiled “Snapshots” – a 36-page booklet of historical photos, timelines and recollections – through interviews, submissions, conversations and research. There is information about the creation of music, language and drama programs, the first female principals, memories from former staff members and much more.
The collection also celebrates the 75th anniversary of the B.C. Retired Teachers’ Association.
