Indigenous Advocacy Department

*'Uy' skweyul, Families and Students,*

Our department members are Jacqueline Daigneault, Métis, Cree, Ojibway; and Teagan Goldney, Métis of the Red River Settlement, Indigenous Youth Care Workers; and Kelly Robinson, English and Irish, Indigenous Graduation Advocate. The Indigenous office is room B207, and students are welcome to stop by anytime.

Chief Dr. Robert Joseph, Hereditary Chief of the Gwawaenuk First Nation, reminds us, "I have to work very hard to try and be my best self, to live out my life in the way that I have respect for everybody and everything around me." As an Indigenous Department, our aim is for students to be happy and healthy at school, knowing happy and healthy looks different for everyone.

We are honoured to walk alongside students, supporting their successes, encouraging participation in school and District events, and witnessing their growth as people.

Families and students, please reach out to us if you have any questions or if you need help with anything.
