Our School

Goals:

• To improve students’ literacy and numeracy skills.
• This year’s focus is on improving student achievement in reading and basic math facts in addition and multiplication.

Accomplishments and Initiatives:

• Implementation of common instructional strategies for reading
• Selection of school-wide assessment tools for reading and writing
• Continued implementation of a school-wide discipline plan to teach positive behaviour (EBS)
• Partnership with SFU and neighbouring schools in the Urban Mosaic project-mentoring student teachers
• Innovative Learning Designs grant recipient for iPads in the classroom
