Clubs, Sports & Extra-Curricular

Our students are invited to participate in a variety of activities throughout the school year. Some sports are school-based and some involve meets, games or play days with other Surrey schools at various locations.

In partnership with Surrey Community-Schools Partnership, we offer several after-school programs. These programs are not drop-in, and registration occurs at the beginning of each term.

For Fall 2024 we have the following programs:

Empower Media (Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Multipurpose Room): This program is for students in Grade 5. It focuses on digital literacy and, empowering students with the knowledge, education, and literacy skills and helping keep them engaged and responsible digital citizens.

Canucks for Kids (Wednesdays in the gym and multipurpose room): In collaboration with the Vancouver Canucks, this is a new initiative to provide students the opportunity to learn and develop floor and street hockey skills to allow them to grow in their confidence and development as hockey players, whether they are new to the sport or have been playing for years. Canucks for Kids aims to develop healthy competition between teams and to enhance transferable skills such as character, leadership, dealing with conflicts and to build lasting relationships. Currently this program is open to Grades 6/7 students.

BLAST Senior (Bring Learning to After School Time): BThis term BLAST Senior is open to student in Grades 6/7. BLAST offers students a safe and engaging environment to learn and develop new skills in various subjects, including physical literacy, healthy living and social and emotional skills through various positive interactions and activities. During the program, students will focus on creating positive peer relationships and building leadership skills, while engaging with their community, through daily and weekly activities, planned out-trips and visits from community leaders.

We appreciate the ongoing support from our coaches, teachers, volunteers and parents as well as all our drivers!
