School Registration

New Student Registration:

The Surrey School District is pleased to welcome all new students to our schools. We now offer online registration for parents & guardians. Please note that registration at your school of choice is based on availability.

When registering your child, please note the following process:

  1. Use the School Locator Tool to determine your catchment school
  2. Complete the online registration request form

The school district recognizes that personal circumstances may make it difficult for some individuals to complete the registration process. Please discuss any unique circumstances with the school principal when you are contacted. We welcome all new students and we are pleased to assist in any way we can.
Please see below for important information regarding the registration process. If you have any questions, please contact your catchment school or the school district at 604-596-7733.

StrongStart Registration:

StrongStart is a free drop-in program for a parent/caregiver and their child(ren) aged birth to five years old. StrongStart supports the development of young children prior to school entry, consistent with the goals of the British Columbia Early Learning Framework. Those attending can expect to participate in organized sessions like story-time and play activities. Parents and caregivers discover new ways to support children's learning at home while making valuable connections with others in the community. There are currently StrongStarts at 24 schools throughout the district.

New Registrations:  If you are new to Surrey StrongStart and would like to register, please register online through our district website HERE. Please note, StrongStart programs are only available at 24 school sites. Please ensure you are registering at a StrongStart Centre when completing your registration as the school name will indicate "StrongStart Centre" in the drop down menu of schools listings. If you have questions or need assistance with registration, please see the StrongStart location brochure for contact information for each site.

Returning Families: If you have already registered and attended StrongStart before, your program facilitator will reach out to you via email to confirm your interest in participating in StrongStart this year. If you do NOT hear from your facilitator, please contact your site facilitator through the email provided in the program brochure.

StrongStart 2023/24 Health and Safety Guidelines:

StrongStart in the Park will continue throughout the 2023/24 school year.  This is an opportunity for families to participate in outdoor early learning sessions at park locations throughout Surrey.
