Course Drop Form

You will need to provide your 9-digit PEN number. This can be found on a school-issued learning update.

Terms to know:

• Cross Enrolled - currently attending another school in BC
• COMPASS - attending full-time at SAIL or an adult learner over 19 years old

What to know about dropping a course:

Due to a high volume of requests, processing may take 3–5 business days. We process all requests in the order they are received.

You will receive a confirmation email from Surrey Academy of Innovative Learning sailacademy@surreyschools.ca once your course drop has been finalized.

Please read the following information carefully: 

If you withdraw from a course after completing the first assignment, you will receive a "W" on your school record and report card. This "W" will not appear on your official transcript with the Ministry of Education, which is what most colleges and universities look at for admissions. Please contact the admission offices of the post-secondary institutions you will be applying to for more information. If you would like to re-register for the course, you would have to wait approximately 10 months before re-registering for the same course with SAIL.

If you withdraw and have not completed your first assignment, you are welcome to re-register for the course right away and there will be no record of your withdrawal as you are not fully registered until successfully completing this assignment.
