Core Competencies

The Core Competencies are an integral part of learning at North Surrey Secondary. We work together as a community to further our student’s understanding and appreciation for the various sets of intellectual, personal, and social and emotional proficiencies that all students need in order to engage in deep, lifelong learning.

We also work together to connect the competencies to various themes throughout our school year.

These reflections are mandatory for graduation. Students will self-reflect on these themes in class, three times throughout the school year. The Core Competencies and Goal Setting will be reported to families as part of our report cards. The reflection is done on a platform called SPACES EDU. All information required to do these reflections is provided below.
