STUDENT CODE of CONDUCT
Holly School’s Code of Conduct is designed to provide guidelines for appropriate student behaviour while under the jurisdiction of the school, or while at any school-sponsored
function. Students have a responsibility to respect the rights and dignity of others, and to become actively involved in their own learning and social-emotional growth. Acceptable conduct is demonstrated by:
Caring for Yourself – caring about your learning and yourself, including safety.
Some examples include:
- Always do your best
- Make good choices
Caring for Others – considerate of others’ personal feelings and properties.
Some examples include:
- Be polite and wait your turn
- Treat others with respect
- Use good listening skills
- Be honest and tell the truth
Caring for our School and World– caring about your school and your environment.
Some examples include:
- Walk calmly – no running in hallways
- Stay in designated areas
- Report dangerous situations to staff
A Safe and Caring School is Free From Acts of:
- Bullying, cyberbullying, or harassment
- Threat and intimidation
- Violence in any form
- Abuse in any form
- Discrimination in any form, including race, colour, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or ancestry • Retribution against a person who has reported incidents A Safe and Caring School Does Not Tolerate the Presence of:
- Theft or vandalism
- Banned Substances
- Weapons or replica weapons
- Intruders or trespassers (All visitors must first report to the office.
A Safe and Caring School Does Not Tolerate the Misuse of:
- Cyberspace, cell phones, electronic devices, computers
