Our School

Guildford Park Secondary School is located in North Surrey, British Columbia. We serve 1400 students from grades 8 through 12 on the traditional, unceded territory of the Katzie, Kwantlen, Semiahmoo, and other Coast Salish Peoples. Our goal is to provide opportunities that enable learners to develop their individual potential and to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to become responsible, creative, compassionate, and contributing members of our diverse society.

At GP, we take pride in our cultural diversity. There are over 70 different languages, other than English, spoken at home by our students. Some of these languages include Arabic, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Spanish, Tigrinya, Hindi, Dari, and Urdu. The staff also speak a variety of languages, some of which include French, Tagalog, Punjabi, Ukrainian, Arabic, Farsi, Serbian, Spanish, Croatian, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese. At our school, diversity is our strength. It enriches our daily experience and creates opportunities for everyone to gain a better understanding of the world and to grow compassion.

We offer a range of academic courses and career programs in which students can excel. Students can also enjoy Fine Arts, Music, Technology, Athletics, Leadership, and Culinary Arts. Furthermore, we have community programs like CASTLE, REACH, Pathways and Check & Connect to support students. All of these learning opportunities help students to grow, connect with others, learn, and pursue different interests and career paths.

At GP, there is a long history of in-house support programs for youth. In addition to counselling staff, there are Inclusive Educational Support Workers, outreach workers, youth care workers, Indigenous Graduation Advocates, Indigenous peer tutors, Indigenous youth care workers, Inner City Secondary Workers, and peer tutors.

Welcome to the Sabrehood , where everyone matters!
