TIMELINE for Grade 8 Course Selection

| Grade 8 Coordinator Visit to Grade 7 classrooms in our Family of Schools | January 23 - 30th, 2025 | Ms. Lacki will go through course selection with each Grade 7 student. |
| MyEd Portal Open to new Grade 8s to Select Courses | January 23 - February 7 | Our up and coming Grade 8s can choose their courses for next year during this time period. |

This course selection book will give valuable information to our new Grizzlies about courses available in their Grade 8 2025-2026 school year.

Grade 8 Coordinator Visits
Ms. Lacki, our Grade 8 Coordinator, will be visiting each elementary school in our Family of Schools. During these visits she will give students a temporary Login ID and Password to enter MyEd B.C. MyEd is the platform secondary schools use to do course selection, attendance and deliver marks. It is important that all Grade 8 students learn the platform and know their login and password.
Ms. Lacki will lead students through the course selection process. Students can then head home and share the information with their parent(s)/guardian(s). The video below explains the course selection process as well. Parent(s) and Guardian(s) will have until February 4, 2025 to go into MyEd and check the selections their child has made.

Upcoming GRADE 7 Parent & Student Night
Evening of MAY 22, 2026 - 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
More information to come - Mark your Calendars! This will involve a tour of Grandview Heights Secondary, presentations in classrooms of student work by sampling of teachers, presentation by admin/staff in gym with information about transition into Grandview Heights. All families and students in our Family of Schools are invited to attend.
