Below is a list of clubs Betty Huff Elementary offers.  Clubs offer students a chance to build relationships with their peers and learn new skills.  Below you will find a general description of the club, meeting times and location.

Being Human Club

To provide space for students grades 5 - 7 who identify either as 2SLGBTQIA+ (2 Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual+), BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of colour), allies, or who struggle to find acceptance with peers. This club is open to students and friends and celebrates diversity by making our school community a safe place where everyone is supported and respected.

Reading Link

Reading link is a province wide program sponsored by the public library system for grades 4 & 5. Reading link promotes "the sport of reading". The program is run as a series of quiz / trivia challenges with the winning teams advancing to higher levels of competition.

Library

Star Power

A lunch time program providing Grade 6 / 7 female identifying students with a positive mentorship.     Students participate in engaging and educational group activities that will focus on leadership, social justice, high school transition and the promotion of understanding and accepting differences. The students will work with a Mentor to develop an understanding of their own leadership abilities and skills, which will then be applied within their school and community.
