Compassion Club (Gr. 4–7)

Room 204, every Thursday at 11:45am

The Compassion Club helps students build kindness, empathy, and a sense of belonging in our school community. Through activities, fundraisers and projects, students are encouraged to support one another and contribute positively to our school and beyond. The club provides a safe space for students to develop social-emotional skills and promote inclusion. Sponsor Teacher: Mrs. Sumra

Social Club: Grade 7

Room 204, Second to last Wednesday of each month at 11:45 ( Dates listed in student TEAMS group)

The Grade 7 Social Club provides a welcoming space for students to connect, build friendships, and discuss concerns about transitioning to high school. Members will participate in friendship projects, community outings, and team-building activities, while also learning about social media responsibility and strategies to handle online pressures. The club helps students support one another as they get ready for the next step in their education.

Student Voice - Dragons Den: Grades 1-7
Last Friday of every month at 2pm
The Student Voice Club gives nominated students a platform to share their ideas, experiences, and perspectives on school life.
Selected by teachers, these students are empowered to play an active role in shaping our school community by discussing important issues and offering input on school decisions. The club encourages leadership, collaboration, and positive change driven by student input.

Art Club  Grades 4-7
Intermediate Art Club in room 309 on Wednesdays at lunch. The purpose is to share our love of art and create artwork.

Community Service Leadership Group (Gr. 6–7)

Activities primarily take place after school.  It is an opportunity for Grade 6 and Grade 7 students to develop leadership skills by contributing in meaningful ways to the local community.  In previous years, the group has helped organize the Jingle Bell Walk and volunteered their time at Czorny Alzheimer Centre to connect with residents.  This year we will visit Czorny again as well as undertake other initiatives in the community, including participating in the Salmon Tracks program, doing a forest clean up, and other activities as the group brings their ideas forward.

Sponsor Teachers: Mrs. Targerson & Ms. Vincent

Diversity Club for any interested students in grades 5-7.
Meet on Wednesdays at lunch in room 308

This club is a safe and inclusive space where we celebrate how every person in our whole school is unique! We focus on:
  • Learning about different families, cultures, and ways people express themselves.
  • Celebrating our differences and our shared kindness.
  • Educating our friends on what it means to be an ally and make sure everyone feels like they belong

Sponsor Teachers: Mrs. Jungclaus & Ms. Sauder

Spirit Team for students in Grades 6 & 7
They don't meet every week, but when we do it's usually Tuesdays at lunch.

The Spirit Team is a creative and enthusiastic team dedicated to planning, promoting, and celebrating school-wide spirit days! We work to get the whole community excited by designing and distributing engaging physical ads (like posters and hallway displays) and fun digital ads which are displayed on the lobby tv. During the spirit days, the team is responsible for taking and collecting photos of students, staff, and classes participating. We then display these photos on the lobby tv to celebrate participation and showcase our incredible school spirit!
 Intermediate Choir (Grades 4-7)
Rehearsal AFTER lunch 12:28-12:58pm
Intermediate choir schedule will look a bit different this year.
Choir will NOT be running every week this year. Instead, it will take place only during the weeks when we have an upcoming performance.

Chess Club (all ages)

Meets every Friday at lunch in Mr. Jungclaus's room (306).

November to April.

Students can choose to come or not to come each Friday.
