Goals:

• To increase the number of students able to meet widely held performance expectations in language arts
• To increase the integration of Aboriginal culture/customs into the curriculum

Accomplishments and Initiatives:

• Implemented the use of BC Performance Standards for reading and writing
• Developed assessment instruments to monitor/track student performance levels in reading and writing
• Established an Aboriginal Cultural and Customs Committee to explore and recommend instructional strategies to staff
