As your Counsellors we want to work with you to make your years here at Elgin Park the best they can be.
What do Counsellors Do?
- Counsellors facilitate the educational, personal, social, emotional and career development of students in the school system.
- Counsellors provide information on graduation requirements, course selection, career planning and post-secondary information, as well as study and organizational skills.
- Counsellors meet with students for one to one and/or group counselling for such things as self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, friendship concerns, mindfulness, building resilience, et cetera.
- Counsellors liaise with community members and refer students to appropriate agencies for additional counselling and support, as needed.
- Personal Counselling:
- A confidential discussion about personal issues and/or support with social/emotional needs.
- Academic Counselling:
- A discussion about academic concerns, course selection, graduation planning, post-secondary information, career & vocational planning.

Transcripts: (Link): Student Transcripts
The Student Transcript Service allows students to give permission to the Ministry of Education to release marks to the schools they have applied to. Students can also review and refer to their marks using this service. Below are two helpful videos about accessing the Student Transcript Service.
