Hairstylist

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION  

The Surrey School District delivers the Hairstylist program as a designated SkilledTradesBC trainer.

This two semester program begins at the start of semester two. Students complete two work experience placements in local salons. Many students opt to work in salons during the summer months.  

Program participants earn credit for ten high school courses, obtain a Certificate of Completion, credit for Level 1 Technical Training and complete 1,290 of the 3,150 hours required for Red Seal certification.

Applicants must have credit for a Math 10 course and an English Language Arts 10 course.
