Lost, Missing, or Damaged Books
We understand that sometimes accidents happen and/or books go missing. Sometimes they even get returned by mistake to the Public Library! If this happens, please reach out and let us know, as we always appreciate the heads up. If a book is missing, please keep looking for it. They usually turn up eventually! If a book is damaged, please don't try fixing it yourself. Just let us know- we are pretty good at book repairs and are always up for a challenge. If a book is truly lost or damaged beyond repair, we may have to issue a fine which can be paid via School Cash Online. However, before that happens, please contact us. We are open to discussing other replacement options. Thank you! :)
Book Choice
Libraries are for everyone!! Our library serves ALL of our students.
A school library provides a wide variety of quality resources and materials, both in print and online, to serve and reflect our diverse student population. It is important that School Libraries provide equitable access of these resources to all students.
That being said, not every book is right for every student, at every age. Parents/guardians can play an active role and be a part of their child's reading experience and help determine what is and isn't appropriate for them. Please ask your child what they are reading and discuss what they are learning.
A good place to check book reviews is Goodreads, Amazon, or Common Sense Media. Of course you can also ask your friendly Teacher-Librarians :)
Ms.Sundin is our full-time Teacher-Librarian, and Ms.Brothers is joining us this year part-time. If you have any questions, you may contact either of them via email or feel free to stop by the Library with your child after school to say hello :)
