Kindergarten registration opens Jan. 13, 2025!

Kindergarten registration begins Monday, Jan. 13, 2025 for Surrey and White Rock elementary schools.

Children who turn five before Jan. 1, 2026 are eligible to start school in September 2025. Registration takes place online HERE.

*Please note that parents or guardians applying for a lottery spot in one of our specialty programs (French Immersion, Intensive Fine Arts, Montessori, Traditional and EKOLogy) must still register their child in their local catchment school before Feb. 14. Online applications for the kindergarten lottery for select programs of choice open Jan. 27. For more information, see the Programs of Choice poster.

Additionally, starting Jan. 8, 2025, the district is hosting Connect to Kindergarten, a series of three information sessions for families of children entering kindergarten in September 2025. The sessions cover information on registration, preparing young learners for their first day of school and promoting emotional well being in students.
