YMCA Childcare Centre at Jessie Lee Elementary

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is excited to be working with the Surrey School District to open a new child care centre at Jessie Lee Elementary. This new centre provides a 25-space, full-day child care program and a 20-space, five-hour (9:00 - 2:00) child care program for 3 to 5-year-old children. The YMCA will also be moving its before and after school program into the new space next to the school.

The two buildings are currently under construction and the School District is hopeful that they will be completed this summer however the completion date is currently to be determined.  The YMCA is working on getting the programs licensed with the Child Care Licensing Officer. We are aiming for a September start. If construction or licensing delays occur, the before and after school program will continue to operate in the school until the centre is complete and licensed.
