Student Bus Registration 26/27
It’s that time of year again—district bus requests for the 2026/27 school year will open on April 1st and close on June 30th. Submissions received after the deadline may be placed on a waitlist.
Attached are informational PDFs for families of students who may require district busing to their catchment school in September.
Schools eligible for district bus service for the 2026/27 school year are:
- Douglas Elementary School
- Earl Marriott Secondary
- Fraser Heights Secondary
- Grandview Heights Secondary
- North Surrey Secondary
- Salish Secondary
In accordance with district policy, students eligible for bus transportation are:
- Grades K–3 who live more than 4 km from their catchment school
- Grades 4–12 who live more than 4.8 km from their catchment school
Students who do not meet the distance eligibility criteria are designated as courtesy riders. Courtesy rider’s may be granted a seat for a fee, subject to availability. Requests will be reviewed in October.
The address submitted on the student’s bus request form must match the address in MyEdBC. Families are responsible for keeping their information in MyEdBC current by contacting their school office. If the addresses do not match, the bus request will be placed on hold, which may delay busing for the student
Please note that district bus service is different from the bus service provided to students with diverse needs and abilities.
Families interested in district school bus service must complete the online bus request form on the Student Bus Services page of the district website. A PDF version is also available for those who wish to submit a paper-based form on the district website.
