CRESCENT PARK TAKES FIRST PLACE AT DISTRICT TRACK MEET!
Congratulations to the track team for coming in first place at the District Track meet with a score of 461 points. Crescent Park Tykes came in third in their division and the Pee Wees and the Bantams both finished first in their divisions. There were many things to cheer about, many highlights - as our athletes worked very hard in each event and race (on a very hot day indeed!). Especially inspiring was Avery Ratcliffe who beat a District shot put record! Avery put the shot 10.33 metres, passing the old record set in 2002 by .31 of a metre. Way to go Avery!.
A big "thank you" to the parent volunteers who helped coach (Mrs. Botelho, Mrs. Gottschalk, and Mrs. Linklater) and all the parents who helped at the mini meets and the District meet. Thank you for driving, handing out ribbons, running events, assisting athletes, and scorekeeping! Also a big "thank you" to Mr. D, our tireless track coach who put in endless hours coaching and ran all the mini meets as well as all the District track Meets. Thank you to our teacher coaches: Mr. Henderson, Mrs. Spoor, Mrs. Huxtable, Mrs. Boechler, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Fisher, and Mrs. Bonn. Way to go Crescent Park!
